Good Practice Guide
Welcome to the UK Higher Education sector's Good Practice Guide which aims to provide help with the various procurement issues that can arise within your institutions. The Guide is an on-line 'facility' and should be viewed as ever-changing with new material being added or current material being updated, on a regular basis. The usefulness and success of this Guide will rest with you, the users. It has been developed to help you, however, it is important that it is kept up-to-date and this is where you come in. It hoped that you will bring forward suggestions of material that should be added or updated, useful web-links etc.How does it work'
The Guide consists of 4 'Books'
- Introduction (an overview of this Guide and of procurement and its importance within the UK HE sector)
- Procurement (discusses the procurement cycle, strategy, policy and procedures)
- Models and Toolkits (contains overviews of the sector's models)
- Legislation (presents information on various areas of law that are relevant to daily procurement activities)
Within each Book there are sections containing internal links to material within the Guide and external links to Procureweb and other external web sites.
